Notebook Programs

Collingwood College is committed to providing computer access to all students as and when required by the curriculum programs offered. The level of access will vary depending on the age level and course of study students are undertaking.

Access is offered through a variety of ways including specialist school computer labs, desktops, laptops, school owned iPad and our BYOD and school notebook programs.

Students are encouraged to bring a suitable device every day for use in the classroom either as part of the school notebook program or BYOD. Access to the internet, school email service and use of software applications such as Word and Excel are all part of our standard curriculum.

Notebooks are used by students to maximize opportunities for learning, while promoting communication and collaboration between themselves, staff and parents. For the vast majority of students digital technologies are embedded into their day to day lives.  These technologies can be used effectively as a tool to support learning.

Microsoft Office is available for free to current students and staff by registering with their school email account at https://products.office.com/en-au/student/office-in-education. School notebook program devices come preinstalled with the eduSTAR.SOE suite which includes office.

For Secondary Students in 2021 we will now be offering two devices as part of our school notebook program along with our Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program.
